The U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour General Industry course provides a variety of training to supervisors and workers with some safety responsibility. Training should emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards. All sessions will be instructed by OSHA-authorized outreach trainers. Topics covered include the following mandatory and elective topics.

 

Note: Respirator fit testing may be provided during these sessions for individuals who are medically cleared and clean-shaven in the area of the facepiece seal. If you would like to be fit tested in this class, you must bring your own respirator. Smoking/Eating/Drinking is prohibited 30 minutes prior to the actual fit tests.
