This course provides the initial EPA/HUD and state requirements for workers and supervisors of de-leading operations in target housing and child occupied facilities. It meets OSHA Lead Hygiene and Hazard Communication requirements. Additionally, training requirements are completed for compliance with the following OSHA Standards: Respiratory Protection (including fit testing), Fire Extinguisher Use, Fall Protection, and Personal Protective Equipment. Individuals completing the class receive U.S. DOT certification for shipping of hazardous materials (lead). National Safety Council First Aid/CPR and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens are completed for supervisors.
Note: Qualitative fit testing may be provided during these sessions for individuals who are medically cleared and clean-shaven in the area of the facepiece seal. If you would like to be fit tested in this class, you must bring your own respirator. Smoking is prohibited 30 minutes prior to the actual fit tests.
